Meet Meghan Kennedy

Meghan was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and spent the greater part of her childhood in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature. Following graduation, Meghan worked in a variety of fields before returning to Kansas City, Missouri to pursue her law degree at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. 

Meghan has spent the majority of her professional and legal career working with non-profit organizations, including zealously advocating for low-income individuals and survivors of domestic violence. She practiced in the eastern and southern portions of the state before returning to Kansas City in 2021.  While practicing law for two legal service organizations throughout the state, Meghan received accolades for excellence in client service, and was nominated for the Lon O. Hocker Trial Lawyer Award.

Meghan’s dedication to her clients, meticulous approach to her practice, and personable demeanor leave her clients confident that they are able to achieve the best possible outcome for their specific case. She understands that each situation is unique and, as such, meets your individual needs with unparalleled care and a straightforward attitude. She prides herself on providing a compassionate, client-centered, realistic approach that meets clients where they are and gives them practical advice. 

She joined the Gordon Law Firm in early 2024 where she serves as an Associate Attorney. Meghan’s practice focuses on family law litigation, and she is also a certified Guardian ad Litem.
